The Sad, Sad Tune of the "Discontinued Makeup Blues"

Have you ever had a favorite makeup product disappear from the beauty market? You know, you discover something you absolutely LOVE, something that works exactly the way you want it too, it looks perfect on your beautiful face, and BAM! it seems like overnight that favorite product of yours disappears from the planet forever. Well, there is a reason behind the madness - 1) current trends, 2) technology, and 3) low sales. Remember the 80's and the crazy colors everywhere? Well, it's 2017 now, and there's a reason we don't wear our makeup like that anymore. Yikes! Just like our makeup, HOT trends come and go. Do you remember when you had to add water to your eye shadow in order to use it? Again, it's 2017 now, and we have new technology that make amazing powders for us to use. Lastly, why would a company continue to produce a product that doesn't meet their sales goal. Just because you're the only person in the world buying electric green mascara doesn't mean that company has to keep selling it! What I'm trying to say is this - I know that you loved that beautiful shade of pink lipstick or the amazing formula of your foundation, but ladies, CHANGE is a good thing! Dare I say, that it's a great thing! We live in a world of fast changing, newly developing technology to make any makeup addict go a little crazy (saying "No, not again!") and get excited (saying "Ooo, I can't wait to try that!") at the same time. It can be a very confusing emotion. So the next time your favorite product gets discontinued, think of it as a challenge from the universe forcing you to try something new. Sure, it's ok to cry about it a little, but afterwards prepare yourself to find and fall in love with something totally new! Have Fun & Be Fabulous!
